Spend time familiarizing yourself with the new camera, lenses, and accessories. Review the user manual, explore online resources, and do some test shots beforehand to understand how the gear handles exposure, focus, and color reproduction. No matter the camera, strong fundamentals will help maintain image quality. Pay attention to lighting, composition, and subject placement. These elements are often more crucial than the specific gear being used.

Understand the New Gear: Take a moment to familiarize myself with the new equipment. Know its strengths and limitations, including its settings, lenses, and features. Optimize Settings: Adjust the camera settings based on the gear's capabilities. If it has a different sensor size or lower ISO range, I’d modify my approach to lighting and exposure accordingly. Focus on Composition: With a new camera, the quality of composition becomes even more critical. I’d prioritize framing, angles, and backgrounds to ensure the shots are visually compelling.

As far as I'm concerned, since I shoot exclusively in manual mode, I adjust the three parameters and often keep the ISO set to 100. I don't believe that a change in camera gear, especially the body, should affect the quality of my work. If you know how to photograph, switching to a new camera shouldn't compromise your results, as one shouldn't rely on automation. All cameras have similar methods for adjusting the three parameters and measuring light using a light meter. To be honest, I don't worry about the change. Of course, in the production phase, everything can be recovered, but I believe that the shot should already be excellent from the start.
