I would strongly recommend that you begin your work with a materiality analysis. This analysis can help you understand what material is for your organization in the true sense of the word. In its simplest form, a materiality analysis involves surveying individuals in your organization, from the Board and C-Suite to the IC and Internship levels, sometimes potential and current customers as well, to find out what causes, programs, and initiatives matter the most to them. This will also help you understand what is unique to you as an organization.
