The first step here would be to go in the war room with utmost preparation and doing your homework about the potential questions. When facing challenging question(s), ask for a moment to recollect your thoughts. In that moment, dissect the question in parts and try to find meaning within the smaller chunks from the breakdown of the question. Fixate on a flow of your upcoming answer, take a deep breathe and deliver your answer as clearly as possible to display that you understood the question correctly. Worst case, even if you give an atypical response, you ability to comprehend and navigate the answer won't go unnoticed. Good luck!

Pause. Listen. Digest. Be honest in your answer. The question isn't there for them to see you have the answer they are looking for, but they want to see how you got to your answer. Not rushing in to an answer will demonstrate your ability to 1. Listen 2. Understand 3. Problem Solve. Your honesty will also shine through.

Preparation, preparation, preparation, before you go, always write & practice your answers, give solid examples of your skills & experience and how you have dealt with situations or how you would deal with them. Rather than panic & rush in, take a breath and focus on the question. What is the employer really asking you? If needed ask them to repeat the question so you can provide a composed response that demonstrates how you face challenges in a positive way. Think about the company values & mission, how do your skills align with them. Try to provide an example of how you have dealt with challenging situations in a proactive manner. Try not to waffle! Keep calm & nail the interview!

Build a vault of at least 20 stories. Examples in your past where you delivered impact. Then, create those stories into a CAR format. What was the Context. What was the Action you took. And what were the Results. Once you have this vault of stories, you will be able to use and reuse them interchangeably. This method helped me get hired at Google and received an offer at Amazon. Those are some of the toughest interviews to pass. The Vault method will prepare you for the hardest questions you will ever receive.

Practicing is key. And it really a skill we should always be looking to improve. It doesn’t take much to imagine what questions you might be asked. Practicing allows you to develop your theme and strategy and lead the conversation into areas that you want to highlight. Practice allows you to anticipate your next move and appear to be seamless and effortless in your transitions. You can never be over-prepared.

Why stop at practicing out loud? Practice hand gestures, practice intonation, even the art of pregnant silences. I do this all time for presentations - I’ve lost track of the number of times my wife has caught me muttering to myself! The beauty of hearing you say your answers out loud is that you have a moment to correct your responses beforehand. Trying to correct MID-interview is too late. Ironically, the more you rehearse you rehearse out loud the less rehearsed you sound. You gain confidence in your answers, you relax, and you sound authentic - something an interviewer seeks (whether they consciously realize it or not).

I always advise my job seekers to prepare carefully the tough questions and ideally with someone. Now with AI, it is quite easy to get those though questions. Ideally practice with a career coach or a mentor. Someone who can give you objective feedback.

Interviews are a "Sliding Doors" moment - nerves are to be expected. So...how to stay calm? It's not that hard: 1) Breathe deeply before the interview, and through your nose throughout. Sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed how effective it is - and easy to forget. 2) If you don't know the answer to a question, simply say "I don't know." 3) If you don't understand the question, ask them to rephrase. If you still don't understand, politely explain their question isn't entirely clear to you. 4) Resist the urge to fill any silence by speaking. Some interviewers will say nothing after you've responded as though your answer was inadequate. Don't take the bait - say what you feel you need to, and no more.

Sim, porque atualmente, e cada vez mais, a decis?o pelo "sim" no processo seletivo está nas m?os da empresa e também nas m?os das pessoas que participam do processo seletivo. Por isso, é fundamental estudar a fundo a empresa, a posi??o, as oportunidades de carreira, de crescimento etc, antes de aceitar uma proposta de trabalho. E essas conclus?es, em parte, se formam quando o candidato formula boas perguntas durante o processo seletivo. Algumas sugest?es: "o que é esperado dessa posi??o?", "há possibilidades de desenvolvimento e quais s?o elas?", "me fale sobre os valores da empresa e das lideran?as" etc, além de perguntas com foco técnico.
