1 Set clear goals and expectations

The first step to managing a team is to define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of each project, and communicate them clearly to your team members. Make sure everyone understands their roles, responsibilities, and deadlines, and how they contribute to the overall success of the project. Use SMART criteria (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) to set realistic and attainable goals, and monitor the progress and performance of your team regularly.

But all this high level target in fancy words may not lead or contribute to people being motivated. I’ve learned in my life and as a manager or mentor is to create passion for what we are doing in a group or in an individual; all other superlatives will follow “passion.” Without passion, we most probably will not do our best.
