Internally, clear and open communication channels ensure that everyone involved in the logistics process, from warehouse staff to transportation teams, is on the same page regarding timelines, priorities, and potential challenges. For example, imagine a scenario where a shipment is delayed due to a mechanical issue with a delivery truck. Without effective communication between the transportation team and the warehouse staff, there may be confusion about revised delivery schedules, leading to inefficiencies and potentially disappointed customers.

It is time consuming, but once you communicate with everyone, it is easier to succeed. In addition, it allows the other working groups to plan their own tasks.

One thing I find challenging as an entry level manager is communicating to the team while being an introvert personality. An introvert manager will find difficult to relay the message to team while leading a smooth operation flow. Main thing to understand is to ensure message clearly understandable by other parties. Let say manager wants to organize a stock take event but not courage enough to tell everyone to get involved. So, as an option , call an online meeting via Teams/Zoom or perhaps, private meeting with key person like team leaders. Provide with slides so other parties have some visual on what managers plan to achieve.
