You're engaging in networking conversations. How do you deal with a colleague who constantly interrupts you?

One thing I need is to first listen to what the other person's saying in the conversation. I let them have the floor to get what's off their chest. Then I address the situation privately between us. I tell the person that I need the same respect when I've got the floor to talk just like you. I give you your respect when you talk, I also need respect when I'm on the floor talking. If the friend cuts me off again , while I'm networking with a colleague at the moment. Then I address the situation openly between the three of us. I tell my friend, that my Colleague and I are talking over an important subject matter at the moment. I'll get back to them after the conversation's over. Being firm & consistent helps addressing this behavior.

Stay cool and keep your composure. Politely say, “I’d love to finish my point,” and take a breath. Think of it like a game of catch, every throw needs a moment to land. Handling interruptions with grace shows your confidence and keeps the conversation on track.

By letting them complete their point of view and staying calm. Anyhow I cannot ask them often 'please do not interrupt when I'm not done yet', instead will train my mind that he/she will have many questions/queries in between, and I'll be ready to listen and answer to.
