1 Define your purpose

Before you dive into the plethora of tools out there, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve with them. Do you want to assess your own or your team's performance, strengths, or areas for improvement? By defining your purpose, you can narrow down your options and focus on the tools that align with your objectives and outcomes.

3 Try them out

After you have done your research, you can select a few tools that seem promising and try them out for yourself. You can sign up for free trials, demos, or samples, and test the tools in your own context and scenarios. You can also invite your colleagues, learners, or stakeholders to join you and give you their input and feedback. You can also evaluate the tools based on criteria such as ease of use, functionality, reliability, accessibility, security, or compatibility. By trying them out, you can see how the tools work in practice, and how they enhance or hinder your educational leadership.
