You're not given with sample data anymore, you're given with real data where there are a lot of NULL values, and sometimes no patterns as well. A huge load of random data is given and you are expected to do whatever is required. And this makes you ready for the outside world. Finding the most optimal solution by taking time complexity and space complexity into consideration is something that a true Computer Science engineer only can achieve. Problem-solving skills are essential and can be learnt via teamwork. Hence, having communication skills is undoubtedly important. Any word that comes out of your mouth should have a meaning, be respectful and follow the 'healthy communication guidelines'. Working as a team, misunderstandings and arguments are common. The way you deal with it by getting down to a mutually beneficial solution is what is expected.

I see interships as a way to gain actual workplace experience, school grave us the experience needed to boost our productivity and have an idea what to expect in the workplace while actually experience is what helps us progress in the field having the knowledge and then gaining the experience to use it goes hand in hand with each other.

Just after Pre-University, naturally any student would be confused as to which branch he would mostly likely excell in. Might not even be Computer Science! But the only way to know what suits the best is to Explore. Exploring every domain in each field slightly gives you an idea what you would be dealing with. Taking an internship in the same would make you get a knowledge on what you would be working and how deeply. The more deep you are invested in a field which you found out to be the most interesting, is a jackpot.

During my own journey, internships have played a crucial role. They allowed me to explore various domains and ultimately discover my passion for cybersecurity. This hands-on experience not only solidified my interest but also provided clarity on where I wanted to focus my studies and career efforts.

Computer Science is a fast-paced field It's quite easy to feel lost and unsure where (and what) to focus. Think like a marketer when writing your resume. How can you effectively communicate what you learned, designed and built during your internship window to potential employers. Instead of "Built this feature" use your resume as an opportunity to answer questions like: what technology did you use, were you involved in the design process, did this feature launch, how many users will this impact, what kind of testing did you implement. Be careful of words like "Led", "Helped", "Collaborated" –?I want to know what YOU did and how you did it. Here are a few examples * Designed and implemented X feature with Java and JUnit * Launched feature to production for XX users * Defined requirements alongside product manager * Presented learnings to team

Having intership experience on your resume definitely shows that you actually have the work experience in the field opening potential opportunities for better choices of being chosen for jobs from employers than with someone who just has a cs degree I have seen many willing to train jobs in the field but mostly some are looking for at least a year in the field under the requirements.
