Often, at junctures like this, it might be very well more practical to have a pause on feature work till bug fixes are in place. An alternative is to divide your sprint 60-40 or otherwise between feature work and bug fixes. Either way, communicating the impact of forgoing bug fixes now might lead to potentially larger issues or customer dissatisfaction is important for your client to understand the implications.
