I really liked the 1, 3, and 5 pager approach at Amazon and the mentality of "how Google works" - I've seen too many managers who want to get too into the weeds to work on something which they have "delegated." This is usually because 1) they dont like writing out requirements and expectation documentations, or write them poorly 2) they dont trust that person, for #2, really should try to understand why you feel that way and consider either adjusting the environment to make them trustworthy or fail fast and remove them. For #1 , this is a core aspect which you have to learn to template and make easier on yourself, constantly improving, but doing these.

Anyone in a cybersecurity leadership position should be involved in some sort of professional organization / entity as well as keeping tabs on major publication from the bodies like NIST, CSA, CIS, etc. For professional organizations I dont necessarily mean ISSA, ISACA, etc. but any organization which is made up of professional peers from other companies who discuss and work through security issues together. You learn so much from the different perspectives!
