I have experienced this and I second this suggestion. Regardless to say its applicability really depends on the role, however, working in a different floor, among other department members, from home definitely would give one a new perspective and improve focus. I personally try to use a variety of productivity tools that would challenge me to receive information and data in different layouts and formats.
Another way to boost your creativity is to seek feedback and collaboration from others. Sometimes, you might be too close to your own work and miss opportunities for improvement or innovation. Asking for feedback from your colleagues, friends, or users can help you gain new insights, perspectives, and suggestions. You can also collaborate with others on a project, brainstorming ideas, sharing skills, and learning from each other. Working with others can also help you overcome your own biases, assumptions, and limitations.
It is very beneficial for team members to have buddy, mentor, department champs to improve their team dynamics. This would help individuals to improve their feedback taking and receiving qualities, I admit that I have struggled from time to time. Having buddy would improve accountability, having a mentor would help setting goals and department/team champs to determining ever changing team dynamics, noticing patterns that would improve progress that can be promoted and ones that drag down to point out and turn the tide. End users come in every shape and size and their experience with their smart devices have invaluable, feedback; its beneficial to send out surveys every once in a while to keep in touch with your colleagues and stay relevant.
A third way to enhance your creativity is to learn something new. Learning new skills, knowledge, or concepts can help you expand your horizons, stimulate your curiosity, and expose you to new possibilities. You can learn something related to your work, such as a new programming language, a new design trend, or a new user behavior. Or you can learn something completely unrelated, such as a new hobby, a new language, or a new culture. Learning something new can also help you develop your adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
Learning is a life long journey in my opinion and one must have passions on different fields of life to improve upon. I personally have language, entertainment, physical & mental health, reading, landscape exploration goals that would help me stay interested and fresh. I also have mundane hobbies that I'm doing for a long that that would energize me. I think comfort zone is not one's enemy if one know their boundaries and triggers. Staying in the topic there are different tools and methodologies with MEM and MDM so explore at your leisure to test see if it can be deployed in your org.
