Through data analysis, content marketers have to have a hyper focus on giving their ICP/audience what they want by: -Providing resources to help make decisions -Creating content that entertains -Creating content that educates -Offering value added content that helps make their audience's life easier -Providing content that generates demand, traffic and sales And they do it along every step of the way in the marketing and sales pipeline. Apart from specific skills needed to do the project or job itself, such as writing, design or research, it is equally important to develop a holistic understanding of marketing and business strategy. Ultimately, content strategy is a solution in service of a business need or to drive a marketing strategy ahead. This 'outside in' or 'top down' view would help in making the strategy relevant and palatable to client stakeholders.
