As an Education Manager 2 at Chisholm TAFE I have connections to Bowens, AEG, Makita, BlueScope Steel and many other industry partners and we are involved in expos and trade events, so staying updated on the latest industry trends is essential. I continuously pursue professional development through courses and while networking at industry conferences and joining associations like HIA and Master Builders. I subscribe to trade publications, follow thought leaders on social media, and actively seek feedback from project teams to identify opportunities for improvement. Through these strategies, I ensure that I remain informed about emerging trends and best practices, enabling me to maintain a competitive edge in the construction industry.

Personally, attending events related to Lean Construction allowed me to connect with new construction trends that were used to model the company culture and the way in which new generations solve construction obstacles. Also, is very important to use this knowledge during real projects on site getting new experiences that encourage the teams to meet the company goals and keep away from the past, it was a good experience to both each employee and the company.
