The most promoted technique in counseling is when an evaluation is taken up as a two-way process. the best way to have a performance evaluation. of a client, is to talk to them, and first have their two cents, of their experiences and learning during a tenure. The technique, I like to use, is o form a conversation around their feedback. If the clients' feedback is not taken into consideration, the conversation or the outcomes tend to be biased and do not reflect the true picture of the experience they had. It is best to involve your client, while reviewing their performance, but at the same time, be receptive, an active listener and be very firm in providing your feedback.
