It’s psychology. Let everyone feel heard. Understand the input, then make decisions that serve the story and mission. A great show makes everyone look good. It’s the process or rather the art of creating and collaborating.

In post-production, it’s crucial to balance the creative vision while considering feedback from various stakeholders—clients, editors, producers. I prioritize feedback by first understanding the core objective of the project. Every piece of feedback is valuable, but not all are equally aligned with the story we’re telling. My strategy is to filter feedback based on its relevance to the project’s goals. If certain feedback doesn't align with the vision, I take the time to explain my perspective and convince the client why some changes might not serve the final product. It’s about collaborating with everyone while maintaining the integrity of the project, ensuring that we all stay true to the story we set out to create.

This is a quite valuable concern. I believe it’s up to having a strong production team and performing test screenings when there is doubt. I remember how a screening with the right audience helped shine a light on something the director was not wanting to see. Once the audience provides the same feedback consistently, it is evident beyond the need to discuss or argue directly. Let the work speak for itself and put the audience to good use.

As a Producer and Director I work mainly with brands. I prioritize feedback in post-production by first ensuring it aligns with the creative direction and overall vision of the project. Client feedback is my top priority, as it directly influences the final output, but I also weigh the input from editors and other post-production team members to ensure technical precision. I filter feedback, balancing creative and logical concerns, so we stay true to the story while meeting deadlines and maintaining high production quality. It's also good to have tests and see how the audience reacts to the videos. It that way we can adjust or shape it that way, so it will work better for reaching the goals of the company.

Being a one man band helps. Since I foot the bill, and I only have a co-editor contracted, I answer to no one. Makes life simple. Taking a year sabbatical, when I'm ready to come back and I need funding, that may change. Being the daughter of a Diplomat might be useful when the time comes.
