EPANET: Por excelencia es uno de los softwares más utilizados dentro del área de la ingenieria hidraulica. Dada su simpleza y facilidad de uso para la modelación de redes de distribución de agua potable, permite obtener modelaciones precisas y conseguir datos rapidamente y evaluar elementos como bombas, valvulas, cambios de secciones transversales, entre otros. IBER: Es un programa de modelación hidraulica que al igual que HECRAS permite realizar modelaciones de canales abiertos y flujos superficiales. Permitiendo generar modelos de inundaciones. HEC RAS: Al igual que iber es un software muy potente y especializado en la modelación de flujos de canales abiertos.
