This is one common issue faced by many organizations. Some of the tools /techniques could be: 1)Move away from conventional organization structure like production, quality etc to "Area Effectiveness Teams/ SBU which involves all functional teams. 2) Launch quality improvement projects and include both production and quality personnel as project team members-both will work together. 3) Define some common KPI's which motivates team bonding and encourages working together. 4) Organize customer visits of both teams so that they understand customer requirements and work towards fulfilling these by resolving internal conflicts. 5)Training programs on soft skills, conflict management, team bonding, outbound activities etc foster mutual respect.

To find common ground between the Quality Assurance (#QA) and #Production teams: - #Clarify common goals: Align on the definition of quality and the importance of productivity. - Hold joint meetings: Encourage open communication to understand each team's constraints. - #Collaborate on processes: Involve both teams in planning and create shared performance indicators. - Train both teams: Cross-train to raise awareness of each team's challenges. - Use a problem-solving approach: Utilize collaborative tools to improve processes. - Monitor and adjust: Regularly evaluate progress and adapt strategies. The goal is to foster cooperation to balance quality and productivity.

A well drafted inspection and test plan (ITP) which is embedded into processes that responsible for delivering a product is a default solution. Apart from quality planning there should be a need for building strong quality culture and encourage cross functional team approach to solve complex quality issues.

Finding common ground between QA and production teams can be challenging, but it’s essential for maintaining quality standards without sacrificing efficiency. Here are some strategies that have worked for me: 1. Open communication is key: regular meetings to clarify expectations and challenges. 2. Involve both teams in collaborative problem-solving, especially for root cause analysis. 3. Align goals around delivering high-quality products and set shared KPIs. 4. Create a continuous feedback loop for ongoing improvement from both sides.
