As a nature photographer, especially in wildlife photography, maintaining 100% mental clarity is essential. There’s no need to rush when capturing these kinds of shots. If the day is coming to an end and you're aiming for the perfect sunset, try using burst mode to ensure you don't miss any moments. This approach helps you stay prepared and capture every detail.

As the light diminishes, boost your ISO to maintain proper exposure without introducing too much grain. Be mindful of your camera's ISO limits to avoid excessive noise. Use reflectors or flash if the setting sun creates harsh shadows, use reflectors to bounce soft, golden light back onto your subject. Alternatively, introduce artificial lighting like a speedlight or portable strobe to fill in shadows and maintain balance. Open up your aperture lower f-stop to allow more light to hit the sensor, and reduce your shutter speed to capture more ambient light. However, balance these adjustments to avoid motion blur or losing depth of field control. As light fades, stabilize your camera with a tripod to prevent blur from slower shutter speeds.
