You're a business coach aiming for success. How can you strengthen client relationships effectively?

Strong listening skills are fundamental to excel as a coach. It requires an open mind, so you truly listen what your client is saying. Think about yourself and a situation where someone was 'simply' listening to you - without instant judgement, opinion or filter. How did that make you feel? Give the same experience to your client, it makes a huge difference.

Offer value. Be attentive and responsive. Period. Others are not. They are “too busy”. Be authentic. So offering random “webinars” that are a catch all for everyone’s needs-not a real answer. Our clients have very unique and individualized problems who can be met by specific solutions. All we need to do is listen.

El cliente va a largar una série quejas basadas en su consciente-subconsciente que no tienen nada que ver con "tu" problema, o el caso empresa-cliente. Por lo que la ESCUCHA ACTIVA es importante en el sentido que le hagas bajar su enojo o bilis, y una vez bajado se le debe de indicar el camino para una compra fácil e idela de nuestros productos. El cliente o clienta enojado/ada solo necesita que le escuchen. Pero nosotros no sólo le vamos a escuchar sino que le venderemos nuestro Prime Product y el más rendible para nuestra compa?ía, por lo que el beneficio es para ambos, cliente-empresa.

In my experience, taking the time to really understand what drives each client beyond their business goals makes all the difference. It's not just about customizing a plan; it's about tapping into their motivations, fears, and passions. When you show that you see them as more than just a business, but as a person with unique aspirations and challenges, it changes the game. This level of personalization helps build trust and makes clients feel truly understood and valued. And when clients feel genuinely supported, they're more likely to stay committed and motivated, leading to better outcomes for both of you.

Consistent communication ensures that you maintain the trustful relationship between you and your coachee. In my experience, it is great to not only stick to agreed 'check-ins', but be in touch when the coachee doesn't expect it. Sending useful resources in-between agreed sessions (e.g. articles, books, links) or sending a simple message when you have not specifically agreed on it, goes a long way and strengthens the relationship.

As coaches, our role is to support the client or to challenge the client when needed. And often, we are the only ones who can do this. So, your goal should be to master the art of being supportive and challenging to your client at the right time. Do that, and you will stand out.
