Burnout comes more from unmanaged tasks then workload, some may differ but this is from being in fields for 20 years. So what to do, sharing my way of dealing with things; - Make sure work hours are clearly communicated and followed. Emergencies are exceptions which is not every day. - Start your day with few deep breaths, so mental fog and backlog is tamed - Make sure to write things for next day a night before and read that in morning so concious focus is on it - Make sure you take a break in timely manner rather than reaching to a point when you can't think

When facing burnout from long work hours, prioritise mindfulness by intentionally creating moments of rest and reflection—practice mindfulness techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or journaling to ground yourself and regain clarity. Break tasks into manageable chunks, focusing on one thing at a time to reduce overwhelm. Setting clear boundaries, such as defined work hours, helps protect your mental and physical well-being. To stay productive, evaluate your priorities and delegate where possible. Shift your focus to high-impact tasks, ensuring your energy is spent effectively. Remember, self-care is not optional—regular breaks, exercise, and sufficient sleep are essential for sustained performance.

If I’m on the brink of burnout then “maintaining productivity” is probably not the right goal to aim for. I would be prioritising: - self care - self advocacy - conversations with my employer about how I’m feeling and what support they can provide to ensure I *don’t* reach burnout - allowing myself time away from work if needed

When facing burnout from long work hours, I focus on maintaining mindfulness by prioritizing self-care and setting clear boundaries. I take short, intentional breaks throughout the day to reset—whether through a brief walk, deep breathing exercises, or a few moments of meditation. This helps me stay grounded and recharge my mental energy. I also make a point to plan my workload, breaking tasks into smaller, manageable chunks, which keeps me productive without feeling overwhelmed. Most importantly, I remind myself that productivity isn’t about working harder, but about working smarter and taking care of my well-being to maintain sustainable performance
