To hone my leadership skills in the accounting field, I should seek mentorship from seasoned professionals, take initiative on projects, and enhance my communication abilities. Engaging in continuous learning, focusing on strategic management and decision-making, while practicing emotional intelligence to manage relationships effectively, is essential. I will build a strong network, think strategically, and lead by example, demonstrating integrity and adaptability. Providing constructive feedback and embracing change will also help me develop as a leader and advance in my career.

Not necessarily, in ten years as a professional, I've seen many people with these certifications but not capable of dealing with the public in this environment, It's necessary develop leadership skills to lead a team to the right goal. The real knowledge is reached by walking through the technical knowledge, social knowledge and knowledge of the world, knowing what is happening around the world and what impact this has in accounting

Aunque tener habilidades técnicas en cualquier campo para liderarlo es muy importante también lo es no tener miedo a las habilidades del resto del equipo, porque un buen líder tiene un visión global y no teme rodearse de profesionales tan buenos como él o mejores. El liderazgo real no va de egos, va de equipo.

Continuously reflect on your experiences, adapt to changes, and support the growth of your team to become an effective and influential leader.

Being a leader, to me, is about collaboration. 1.Understanding the team dynamic is critical before offering to implement new procedures. 2. People downplay the skill of filing, I refer to it as dusting the accountants office. Filing is key in understanding who you customers, vendors and reporting agencies are. Undertaking the task of filing also shows a contribution to your team that there is no job you aren't willing to assume for the success of the team which makes a person more approachable. 3. Ask questions and learn as much as you can in every task you undertake.

El liderazgo no solo se trata de dominar los números, hay que ser capaz de traducirlo en acompa?amiento a los diferentes equipos, abordar dudas específicas, ajustar información, colocarla al alcance de cualquier empleado, entender las preocupaciones y no perder de vista la colaboración con el resto de las áreas. Solo así podremos desarrollar confianza y ser un puente de comunicación para hacerlo simple y claro, siendo capaces de conectarlo con la estrategia financiera. Como Contralor hay que estar preparado para transmitir con eficiencia la información a diferentes tipos de audiencia, dependiendo de los diferentes niveles de comprensión financiera, para impactar, positivamente, la operación diaria.

Toastmasters (specifically the leadership pathway) is a great way to improve communication skills. Joining a toastmasters club helps you to communicate openly & honestly (building credibility).

La empatía, la humildad, la escucha activa… y sobre todo recordar que tenemos dos orejas y una boca, para escuchar el doble de lo que decimos. ??

In my opinion mentor to others is the best way to sharpen the skills, a teacher in every field have a strong command on their own subject because he is daily practicing his basics, so if a senior accountant mentor juniors then definitely after sometime he also get hone on their skills.

From the 6 points, I believe the most important is the Networking Skills. During my 13 years at PwC, I learned how vital colleagues were to my professional growth. Engaging with more experienced individuals, embracing ideas from younger peers, and sharing insights all contribute to staying relevant in any field—whether accounting, finance, or beyond. The exchange of opinions, discussions on interpretations, and collaborative problem-solving are key elements to boost continuous learning specially in an no stop evolving professional environment.
