The job description holds the answers to the test many times. If you have relevant experience with the deliverables outlined in the job description, align your resume to speak on how you have met those deliverables and exceeded those expectations previously with relevant metrics to back it up. Having moved across 3 different industries myself…logistics, HR, and now Marketing, many of the hard and soft skills are transferrable from industry to industry. For example: -communication -time management -task management -collaboration -relationship management To name a few. Often times, vets have experience adapting to austere locations, internationally, under the threat of fire, and still exceed expectations on the skills listed above.
