Learning Python fundamentals and SQL is crucial since these are the primary tools used for data manipulation and querying databases. Additionally, gaining hands-on experience is vital for practical understanding and skill development. This combination of foundational knowledge and practical experience will set a strong base for advancing in the data engineering field.
