Developing strategic thinking skills involves honing the ability to analyze complex problems, anticipate outcomes, and devise solutions beyond what others can think. For instance Abraham Wald, a mathematician during World War II, when tasked with improving aircraft survivability, analyzed the returning planes' bullet hole patterns. While others suggested reinforcing areas with the most damage, Wald proposed reinforcing areas with no damage, reasoning that planes hit in those spots didn't make it back, while the ones which hit the other spots could still survive. This illustrates strategic thinking: seeing beyond surface issues, anticipating challenges, and devising unconventional yet effective solutions
