Here are some tips that have helped me. Divide your tasks based on how long they would take - 2 minutes, 2 days, or 2 weeks. Could you do anything that takes less than 5 minutes? Then do it right away! Before working on the day's most important task, review all your future tasks and identify any external dependencies. If you need to collaborate with other teams/members, block out their calendars right away even if you need time to prepare. When requesting information to complete your task, ensure the urgency is communicated and provide a "need by" date. No response in 2 business days? Follow up! Lastly, don't lose sight of any incoming tasks. Keep a list organized and until you are completely done, don't strike it off your list.
