Our voice teacher had performed leading roles at La Scala in Italy before injuries suffered in WWII ended his professional career. Though respected and admired in Europe, his simple technique and vocal exercises were at first doubted by American trained teachers on the voice faculty UNTIL they heard for themselves the truly amazing growth and mastery his students displayed on their vocal recitals and juries, resulting in one of the other teachers secretly taking lessons with our teacher! As expected, many of his students have had outstanding professional careers in opera, musical theater and pop music!
