De acuerdo a mi experiencia, es de vital importancia establecer las metas de manera clara, precisa y con los recursos necesarios para alcanzarlas. En mi vida profesional liderando proyectos y equipos de trabajo, trato siempre de aplicar la misma metodología: hacer una breve revisión del "status de proyecto" desde lo general a lo particular, diferenciar lo "urgente" de lo "importante" a realizar en lo operativo y, finalmente establecer objetivos a alcanzar a diferentes plazos (inmediato/corto; mediano y largo). Es fundamental fijar los pilares del proyecto, así como la revisión de sus avances con el equipo de coordinación y con el equipo operativo.

Un gran desafío para quienes lideramos equipos de trabajo de diferentes generaciones es lograr fomentar la colaboración y comunicación. Fomentar la confianza, respeto y apertura entre los miembros del equipo se logra con empatía, conversaciones que "vayan más allá de lo técnico" y ayudar mucho a los miembros del equipo a encontrar los mejores canales de comunicación con los diferentes "actores". Cabe remarcar que en los procesos de desarrollo intervienen diferentes equipos liderados por diferentes personas. Identificar las mejores maneras de comunicación y colaboración es clave y muchas veces no resulta fácil. Es responsabilidad de los líderes identificar esas necesidades y ayudar en la generación de los canales correctos de comunicación.

Según mi experiencia, liderar con el ejemplo es casi una de las "mejores maneras de liderar". Reitero el mismo concepto de comentarios anteriores: es muy desafiante en tiempos de disponibilidad de tecnología de la que disponemos al alcance de la mano. Como líderes tenemos la responsabilidad de demostrar nuestro interés por los miembros del equipo en diferentes aspectos: profesional y como individuos. Nuestra tarea es encontrar la manera de hallar el equilibrio entre el compromiso con el trabajo, los tiempos de cumplimiento de las metas y la vida personal de cada individuo.

Mantener motivado a un equipo es un reto especialmente en esta época tan digital, donde muchas profesiones corren el riesgo de sentirse que pueden verse relevados por la IA, en este sentido se precisa que la toma de decisiones sea colaborativa que todos vean que hasta el más mínimo aporte se tiene en cuenta, de igual manera la gente es creativa y motivada en la medida que se siente parte de algo y las decisiones son claves, recuerden la gente más feliz es la que toma decisiones y si somos parte de las decisiones empresariales mucho más nuestros colaboradores serán felices.
