A slight re-frame on the problem statement: It can be a sign of great progress when a team finally matures to the point that individual team members are conscious of the distinction between quick wins and long-term growth, and are feeling tensions in trying to balance the two. It can be uncomfortable, sure, but that's kind of the point -- as many of the responses here suggest, quick wins and long-term growth constitute a polarity that teams are responsible for negotiating and coordinating around on a moment-by-moment basis, not "problems to be solved". So sometimes a leader can smooth the waters by simply normalizing the discomfort - just support a team in getting comfortable with the discomfort.
