Code reviews can be programmatically baked into automated CI/CD pipeline. We use SonarQube in our Team and it works great. Quality checks must be decoupled from everything and it Must be part of your Definition of Done for the Stories.

Your Features must be refined in regualr cadence and always try to break it down to Minimal Viable Products (MVPs). The smaller the size, the lesser is the dependencies and it will be quicker to review.

Code reviews are part of our jobs and should be prioritized accordingly. CRs are not just nice to haves or things below development work. Maximize efficiency and consider the time it takes to resolve a conversation when commenting and blocking a code review. Comments that are merely opinions or subjective and that do not clearly improve efficiency, readability, maintainability or extensibility should not be CR blockers. When dealing with a potentially lengthy debate, try a call instead of a huge back-and-forth conversation on the CR, but always include a summary of offline discussions for posterity.
