When team is struggling with productivity and morale ..it somewhere reflects the current situation whichbmay not be very positive and also may reflect some recent changes The first thing which as a leader one needs to do is maintain their own composure and also not giving any negative feedback right then One needs to uphold the team..and give them their confidence by reminding them if their strengths and also by making them realise that small steps of success may be achieved by doing small consistently. So focus on small steps, and this small success of every member will turn around both team productivity as well as morale

To boost team morale and productivity, I’ll lead by example by staying positive, focused, and solution-oriented, even in challenging situations. I’ll acknowledge their hard work and celebrate small wins to build motivation. Actively listening to their concerns and involving them in decision-making will foster a sense of ownership. Setting realistic goals and showing empathy when challenges arise will create a supportive environment. By demonstrating resilience and commitment, I’ll inspire the team to stay engaged and motivated to achieve our goals together.

Be approachable, transparent, and solution-oriented. Show genuine appreciation for their efforts and celebrate small wins to build momentum. Lead with empathy—listen to their concerns and provide support where needed. Share your vision clearly, so everyone feels connected to the bigger picture. If this is the situation with your team, it's clear you're failing in your duty as team leader. Ideally you'd have done what I'm going to suggest much earlier. Schedule a facilitated planning session for a half day or day, focusing on both the what and how of the work. This might include possibility thinking that can lead to a breakthrough and a plan. What will it take/what needs to happen to achieve our objectives without sacrificing morale or missing our key milestones? Or, if our team is to work in an optimally effective and efficient way, what needs to happen? This kind of thinking leads to a plan and identifies where you might need other resources.
