Make Feedback Timely and Continuous. When feedback is immediate, it feels more relevant and actionable. Follow Up on Feedback. When people see changes, they’re more likely to participate in open communication. These strategies can help create an open, supportive communication culture where feedback is embraced as part of growth rather than something to be avoided.

Feedback is a two way street and is only valued when there is a channel of open communication and trust. Ask them for areas of improvement for yourself, listen and take notes. Once done, you can share your views and feedback as well. They are probably going to be more receptive to listen.

It is important to respect feedback, regardless of its priority. people have been avoiding giving feedback due to concerns about confidentiality not being properly maintained. When we say feedback is anonymous, it must truly remain anonymous and to foster an open communication environment, leaders should also accept their mistakes openly, setting a benchmark for others. Additionally, empathy plays a crucial role in building this open and trusting communication culture.
