While starting a new project, the strategy begins by educating, involving & aligning the people responsible for executing it. Without team alignment towards common objectives even the best strategies are doomed to fail. As team manager focus on below strategies to align the team: - Communicate the project requirements, purpose & strategy from the top down - Identify & tie people’s individual contributions to the overall project objectives - Promote & encourage peer-to-peer collaboration & team work over competition - Celebrate team success as well as learnings from failures - Reward & recognition on small accomplishments encourages employees & reminds them that you value their contributions - Practice inclusive project planning process

At the start of any new project, I believe in having a clear and open discussion with the entire team. What I do is sit down and go over the objectives together—everyone needs to be on the same page. I ask for their input too, because when the team feels involved in setting the goals, they are more likely to stay committed. You will see that when people understand why something is important, they align their efforts to make it happen.

When starting a new project, have a kickoff meeting to set clear expectations. Make sure everyone understands the key objectives, their roles, and timelines. Use a tool like Asana to put together a timeline that outlines tasks and deadlines, so progress is transparent to everyone. Set regular check-ins to review progress and adjust as needed. Open communication and a solid plan keep the team aligned and on track.
