I don't think heaven will ever fall if team members are not interested to apply Lean principles. Lean or Lean Six Sigma are the last option in Industrial Engg ,we have so many tools and techniques developed over more than 200 years since Taylor first showed how PRODUCTIVITY can be improved. I think if we apply honestly all or most of these , no lean thinking about any waste reductions will be left with. I have mentioned about all these in earlier comments, so may not repeat the same here.We must start questioning about the very methods and operations, whether there are other alternatives processes and also better layout. Then go for assembly line balancing etc. Then continuously apply to monitor and improve upon by Industrial Engineering.
