Monitoring the situation and doing follow-ups is also a must to ensure that the team member has taken the correct next steps.

Work collaboratively with Client Services to add rigor and cadence that would update Client on your efforts which would ensure a similar event should never occur again. Often this aspect of partnering with the client is overlooked. Leaving the client frustrated and always leaving doubt in their mind.
