For me, everything should be concentrated in the brand bible. This is an internal-use central document where all things related to a brand's identity can be found (logo and whitespace, typography, brand voice, grid system, etc..) Whether it is under the form of a 'Brand Book' made in inDesign, a PDF compiled in Word, or handwritten by a calligraphist, such a document is indispensable for any brand that respects itself.
