To keep the team's motivation soaring after achieving a significant milestone, I would celebrate the success with a team gathering or recognition event to acknowledge everyone's hard work. I would also encourage open discussions about what we learned during the process and how to apply those insights moving forward. Setting new, exciting goals and involving the team in planning can help maintain momentum and foster a sense of ownership. Additionally, I would ensure ongoing support and resources are available to keep the energy high and reinforce our shared vision.

My point of view would be simple really. Just like in GYM, our body becomes stronger and more used to heavy weights, and the gains are more impressive but less visible towards you reaching your goal. This is where loyalty and determination kick in. The same with a team, as they become stronger, equip them with better training, better incentives, and bigger rewards because as your team's performance grows the company is growing so grow together. You can't expect to leave your team behind while the company booms. You want to build loyalty and long-term invested family in a company, not employees. ???? Just my 2cents

Imagine we’re in a basketball game, with seconds left in the game we’re down by three points. One of our players hits a 3-pointer pushing us into overtime. That 3-pointer is our recent major milestone. But just like in the game, we know overtime is not the end; it’s just the beginning of a new phase. We start by celebrating the achievement. This moment of recognition reinforces that their hard work matters and builds a sense of pride in the team. Secondly, we regroup and clarify the game plan for overtime. We need everyone executing with precision and focus. I’d lay out a clear set of next steps, highlighting how each player’s role contributes to our strategy. Finally, I’d remind the team of the reward waiting for us when we win this game.

I usually adopt the same strategy I use for my physical health & fitness goals. It's the simple principle of small incremental growth. I set a target for the number of steps or the amount of weight I can carry. Once I real that goal, I celebrate that achievement briefly & then move to the next level. So if i set a target of 5k steps in a day & I achieve that, I move my targets to 6k, 7k, 8k, 9k, 10k. This keeps me focused & motivated to achieve more than I already did. I have been doing this effectively with my team for a while now. We celebrate the wins on top of the mountain & immediately look for the next mountain to conquer.

Increase their compensation, don't require them to come to an office, and give them some extra time off. The reward for great work is not more work.
