As a business that is actively engaged in integrating GenAI into various business processes, we've found there to be (generally) two types of knowledge workers impacted: 1. Those who gravitate towards quickly embracing and understanding the technology, who become indispensable to the client's business because they serve as change agents and enablers for their colleagues/departments 2. Those who reject the idea that this technology could "do their jobs" and as a result refuse to consider leveraging its capabilities, which will likely result in their roles/impact becoming less and less relevant to their employers over time It is my opinion that nearly every business person (ourselves included) will face this choice within the next 3-5 years.
