I'm a big fan of joy as a self care practice, so I would explore how to incorporate that into the lives of those in my team to counter the cortisol and adrenalin building up in their system from the pressure When you burst into laughter at the punchline of a joke built on a heavy topic, it cuts through the body's tension and creates a release. So how can we use this concept to cut through the tension of a workplace? What brings the team joy? What conditions are required to allow that joy to break through? This might be what we watch or listen to during breaks or in the background. Can you encourage suggestions from the team? Can you gamify the targets? How can you make challenges fun, while still achieving exceptional results?
