Differing sales strategies should be welcomed. We need varying personas like the ones who develop strategies for an ongoing process to others who try future-proofing your process and aligning end goals. There will always be strategies too ambitious for a slow-moving function or too slow for a fast-moving start-up culture. The key is to find a faster way to from the current approach within the constraint of time and resources. Unifying ideas and stitching together a joint collaborative way forward for me is always a team-specific exercise with me having the power to veto with rationale. Easier to do it at a team level as they in the process get sold on the way forward and you don't need to sell the vision from scratch.
