My philosophy has become that it's better to make the wrong decision than to make no decision at all. When a process stalls, make sure to give someone the mandate to make a decision so things can move on. We don't make games by talking about them--we must do the work. Game design is no different from programming, art, or anything else.

That is very normal and should be dealt with constructively. When my team is divided on a project's direction, I make sure to facilitate open discussions where everyone feels heard. I encourage team members to share their reasoning and listen to each other. Then, we assess the pros and cons of each approach based on the project goals. Sometimes, it’s about finding a middle ground, but other times, it’s about choosing the best solution, regardless of where it comes from—whether it’s a junior or senior team member. Ultimately, keeping the project’s vision in focus helps us make decisions that benefit the game and the team.
