Why kill joy and set limitations by driving consensus or negotiating! The more the merrier. Allow each team member with strong conviction to about what to do, take it up as a personal project with you supporting each, s long as it doesn’t require much funding. Then, assess outcomes from each approach. Your team may make some interesting discoveries!

In my experience there is an upfront v after the event time trade off. So, if you write the stategy top down you spent your time trying to bring people on board afterwards. Much more effective to imvolve everyone in developing the strategy, hone choices from their input and present a strategy they created. Takes longer in doing the strategy but no trying to bring everyone onboard needed. Also, avoid consensus, fundraising needs clear calls and leadership not the consensus dilution of ideas. That comes between the consultation and strategy and in my experience everyone gets that not every idea will be actioned, as long as they are all considered.

Focus: strategic planning is everything. You've got to have that roadmap, mapped out in an inclusive, participatory and human rights and evidence-backed manner. The disciplined theatre of it such strategic focusing-cum planning is what will enable every single team members and or representative units thereof to, meaningfully and effectively play a part.
