As I say quite often, data governance is driven by business. What does the business want? Where does it want to go? What kind of data do they need to go there? Which initiatives are they willing to fund? If one can answer the above, resolving differences in objectives, approaches and practices becomes easy and transparent.

Hay que recordar que las practicas de gobierno de datos se estructuran de acuerdo a la actividad generada dentro de la organización por los equipos de negocio y IT para gestionar el uso correcto del datos dentro de las actividades mismas. Entonces esto nos lleva a evaluar como las practicas que el equipo tiene se alinean a la politica de gobierno definidas; para detectar problemas, ventajas y desventajas y saber cuando usar una o otra: documentando esto ayuda a mejorar las politicas de gobierno de datos.
