If the change will impact a lot of functionality, ensure a thorough system, user, sanity and performance testing is executed appropriately

Simple! Don't build something that no one wants. How do you know! Ask the user, quickly turnaround before they change their mind, perform A/B testing, collect analytics to support the decision and release it to the masses.

Should you have to see in from any angle or you are okay to adjust to the TV defects? Should the button be intuitive or you need to read a novel to figure out how to start your TV? Quality control is the last stop before a product, if not done correctly you would be busy solving incidents and loosing customer. It could be time to close down the shop.

It is often necessary to turn of feature for business continuity on high impact incidents. When pushing your code out, ensure that the soft 'rollback', achieved by turning off the feature, does not adversely impact the business or create another incident.
