ALWAYS go back to the customer/beneficiary. There's no point in having the best Social Impact strategy in the world either if it doesn't resonate with your target audience. To keep your strategy relevant, ask yourself these questions: → How long has it been since I've asked one of our customers/beneficiaries what they think about us? → Are there any processes in place to make sure we receive and review feedback regularly? → What do I need to know from customers/beneficiaries to make sure my strategy is relevant?

?? Staying Relevant in Social Impact: Community at the Core ?? Maintaining relevance in social impact starts with keeping the community as the primary source of inspiration. Understand their priorities—what issues they see as most pressing, the solutions they feel are most effective, and the tools they believe will lead to lasting success. By listening and adapting your innovations to meet these needs, you ensure not only relevance but also sustainability. Let the community’s voice guide your strategies, creating a collaborative path toward shared prosperity.

The world changes every year and social change strategies need to adapt. The best way to evolve is simple: Ask the people most impacted by the problem you're tackling! How have their needs changed? What new barriers are they facing that they didn't face before? What resources or opportunities are available now that weren't before? Conducting regular stakeholder and community feedback surveys or sessions should be part of ongoing planning.

Revisit your core mission and seek feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders. You can stay informed on industry trends and embrace innovation to pivot effectively. I'd also advise testing new approaches and refining based on results, keeping our strategy aligned with evolving needs and opportunities.

Get involved with networks that allow you to learn in a non-competitive environment how others are enhancing their social impact strategies. It's harder to progress in silos.
