Being a project lead, It is normal to encounter scope creep, but having seen this as part of the list, I will address it proactively to ensure we stick to the time-line. First, I will go over the first outline of the project with the team to see where we are off. Then, I would present a straightforward message to the client as follows; The scope of work that was set at the onset, the progress made so far, and how further demands affect the time frame and cost. In order to eliminate further issues with scope creep, I shall propose change request process that will require approval of all new ideas and proposals. This approach would assist in controlling the expectations of our clients and stakeholders and bring our undertaking to order.
