When people know the vision or future state of product, they will be equipped to plan current design better. 1. To build high quality design, you need to define the North Star vision or end state of the product. 2. Post defining the North Star vision identify the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for launch. 3. MVP capabilities should lead to the North Star vision. 4. Align the team on North Star vision and MVP. 5. Any deviation from the vision for short term goal should be identified as debt and taken up for correction post launch. This approach will ensure you have a high quality design and product with out losing on immediate goals.

That's something usual in a designer routine. I usually talk with the development team to understand what they need first and make a separate plan for delivering things. One thing that normally gets cut in these situations is the user testing phase. A great way to bypass this is to test the solution that's already live. I like to use tools like Hotjar surveys to quickly understand what users are thinking about the solution.

In my experience tight deadlines needs a strategy; at one time I was working on a university associate degree curriculum which had a tight deadline and this is my perspective. 1. Prioritize Key Tasks: Focus on what’s essential; skip non-critical details. 2. Break Into Smaller Tasks: Tackle manageable pieces to stay organized. 3. Set Micro-Deadlines: Keep momentum with smaller milestones. 4. Avoid Perfectionism: Aim for “good enough” within time constraints. 5. Minimize Distractions: Create focus time; limit interruptions. 6. Communicate Clearly: Update stakeholders to align expectations. 7. Take Short Breaks: Refresh to avoid burnout and maintain accuracy. Remember, quality under pressure is about smart decisions, not flawless execution.
