The moment you break safety protocol, it would mean you put the company in a position of liability. Depending on the severity of the infraction, a formal safety meeting and or a dismissal may need to be a part of the repercussions of so called infraction. Irrelevant on the size or budget of the project. Safety is the most important part of the daily equation and once it’s broken trust in the production is broken. In many cases the only way to insure that the trust stays or is reclaimed is by making a strong example that not following safety guidelines is grounds for dismissal. Every person who walks onto set or into the production office should feel comfortable in knowing that their safety is a priority.
