During a crisis, stakeholders should be communicated with as candidly, honestly, and in a timely manner as the situation will permit regarding updates in the situation. Let them know what is happening - even if you do not know all the facts Describe what you are doing to try and resolve the situation Provide a realistic timeline as to how much longer the issue will persist. Open the lines of communication with regard to queries and responses; make them know their opinions matter. If one had been kept informing clearly and forthrightly from the very beginning, then at a certain point, a certain degree of confidence would have been instilled in your words to show accountability within one's self to take responsibility for the crisis.

Understand the minimum effective dose for the task at hand (internal & external), what it needs to look like, who owns it & the frequency, then be consistent. Have a congruent standard & always be honest.

Si se tiene una cultura donde la comunicación y el respeto a los otros están dentro de sus pilares es sencillo abordar una crisis, el CEO y la alta gerencia tienen un rol fundamental de transmitir con honestidad aquella información que sea de dominio de todos, generar confianza en el proceso, aclarando dudas, evitando los comentarios entre pasillos.

Es importante que la situación sea clara en el momento previo a la crisis, lo cual ayudará mucho a la gestión durante la crisis y el compromiso del equipo será de mucha mayor implicación. En el momento de crisis, la unión es fundamental, desde los perfiles más altos a los más juniors. Es muy importante que el equipo directivo sea consecuente y actúe rápido, para poder poner solución realista. El momento de análisis es el más importante para retomar el vuelo y conseguir la velocidad de crucero marcada por los objetivos anuales de la compa?ía. No podemos dejar de lado las oportunidades que siempre surgen en los momentos complicados.
