Your manufacturing processes are becoming more complex. How can you keep up with the latest tools?

In this Artificial Intelligence (AI) the access of information has become so easy that one get hundreds of suggestion to improve manufacturing processes. Establishing sustainable “Lean Manufacturing” is the solution to many of the problems. Now a days cost competitiveness is the base to compete in the market. If the products cost will be high then the companies will lose their margins & in longer run it will not be sustainable. Your processes should be carefully evaluated & designed by the Lean Experts in order to minimize the cost & these should be evaluated continuously to meet the technological advancement as well.

It is crucial to think about what's next and plan accordingly. Personally, I've found that maintaining a daily diary or a well-organized parking lot helps me keep track of my thoughts, desires, and needs. Putting everything down on paper allows me to revisit and identify any recurring patterns that require attention.

Find an expert and leverage their experience. There are hundreds of capable tools on the market represented by very good sales people with strong demos. While some generalist consultants may be seen as superfluous and non-value-add, niche experts that spend all day, every day analyzing and implementing these processes and tools can be invaluable sources of information. Analyst organizations similarly will be able to separate the signal from the noise. I frequently encounter clients without a process, set of requirements, or understanding of the market being blown about from demo to demo, often coming back more confused about which way to go. Define the problem before seeking a solution.

Prior to investing in a new tool, it's crucial to conduct real-world testing and gather feedback. Methods like prototypes, simulations, and trials can evaluate performance and feasibility. Engaging staff and stakeholders for feedback measures satisfaction. Based on results, decisions can be made regarding adoption, modification, or rejection. If implemented, a well-planned transition, including training and monitoring, ensures effective integration, such as incorporating a new customer relationship management system in a sales department.

The most successful firms that I've witnessed maintain a dynamic understanding of their business goals, KPIs and present performance. It is a common issue that after a process or tool is selected and implemented, the work is considered finsihed and the efficiency and alignment to business needs fade over time. Investing in a mechanism to record and report against business goals- including a linked understanding of process steps, users stories, and application configuration allows the clear linkage across functions and enables easier maintenance of the solution as processes evolve.

Orchestrate to engage the right people that can answer the right questions, flow processes out...start high level and then drill down to identify key points where delays, failures, problems, risk, etc., exist. As needed, disconnect a stream and create a separate team, then reconnect and level set. Are there KPIs to support key points; if not define them. Identify opportunities for improvement; do not bog down here and impede progress. Realize nothing will ever be perfect, stay focused and track progress against milestones. Approach should document processes, shape business requirements, drive benefits analysis, etc., used to align and demo a specific set of enabling tools to best support your company's manufacturing processes.
