This helps keep you and the team focused on external perspectives and priorities and clarifies the essentials. It helps the team understand their roles in the new scenario and by discussing and sharing responsibility, you create opportunities for growth and development within the team. Over the years with my experience in developing programs, I have learnt to not let it revolve around only one person. A transparent and collaborative process that involves members of the team involved and carried along is what I encourage. This is also done with hall documents, they should be accessible to more than one person. With this, even when the lead steps down, it becomes less of a problem getting all to adapt or continue.
